Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the UK, and rates continue to rise. At least 100,000 new cases are now diagnosed each year, and the disease kills over 2,500 people each year in the UK – that’s seven people every day.

It Takes 7 is a fundraising campaign by the British Skin Foundation to raise money for research into skin cancer.

There is currently no cure for the disease, and treatments are limited once it’s spread beyond its original site.

The symptoms of skin cancer are usually:

  • Tingling or itching, which may occur at an early stage
  • Changes in the size, shape or colour of an existing mole
  • Others skin cancers begin as a dark area that can look like a new mole
  • Later on a melanoma may feel hard and lumpy, and bleed, ooze or crust up

So watch the video and create a fundraising team of up to 7 people and help the British Skin Foundation lead the fight against skin cancer.
